PhotoAge Live - How Old Do You Really Look? App Reviews

I paid a dollar for this and when I first downloaded it it wouldnt even run. I had to redownload it and even then it didnt work. After another redownload it finally worked and then said my 80 year old grandmother was 16. The bars are still on the top and bottom of the screen, the app is archaic.

The bug is that any round/plump face it rates much older; also it rates babies/children older than they are

Appears to be completely broken on an iPod air. You can only see part of the cameras view, essentially making it unusable.

Despite a review that says "it only takes pictures", this app is much more than that... It uses advanced machine vision to accurately rate how attractive you are in given lighting from different angles, etc in real time (based on advanced models on what humans find visually pleasing). It is also able to guess your age (or at least how old you look) with stunning accuracy. This is great since we all want to look younger in our photos. The realtime analysis lets you find the best lighting, angle and makeup to look your very best in a shot. I was a paid customer of the earlier versions of this, PhotoAge and PhotoGenic and frankly Id given up on these apps ever being updated. Neither has worked since iOS 7 and I used them often so I was really annoyed when they stopped working. I even emailed the developers and they promised an update soon (this was over 3 years ago). The old apps only worked on still images, so this update is a major one (but considering it took almost 3 years, Im deducting a star). Im also deducting a star because you can no longer evaluate pictures youve already taken. The live function is nice but lets face it, this isnt going to be the camera you use most of the time. It really needs the ability to import photos for analysis in addition to the live real time camera. Also, it overlays the age / rating onto the pictures you save to the camera roll which makes it useless in obtaining photos you actually want to use on social media, etc. Maybe disabling the overlay is a feature in the premium upgrade but it doesnt state that it is. Ill update my review if I find that to be the case. Im giving it three stars based on the technology being impressive and because it is a truly unique app. Nothing else in the App Store does what this does, BUT the developers really need to consider how end users want to use the technology for it to be useful. Given their track record on updates, maybe we can expect this to actually be a cool, five star product by say 2022.

I cant believe I wasted money on an app that doesnt even work. When I got the app, I opened it up, clicked on camera, and literally nothing happened. I kept clicking all the buttons but nothing worked, it was as if I was trying to click play on a picture.

I bought this app cause i read all the good reviews people gave it and when i tried opening it it froze and i tried restarting it and it still doesnt work !!!! F*** this app !!!!

this app looks really fun and all of my friends have it ... but for some reason it isnt working on my phone which stinks because I paid 99 cents. it just freezes on my screen when I try to do it :(

I got this app three times and it would let pick on facebook,my pics, google it wont let me on nothing and it really pissing me off

This app doesnt work with iPhone 6, it also doesnt work with iPad 2. I want my dollar back, I couldve used it to get a snickers bar.

Thought is would be fun to use with friends but after days it fails to launch properly. What a waste!
